I am a commercial photographer working primarily in the North East of England specialising in editorial and PR photography for regional and national clients.
I started working in Newcastle in the early eighties and trained as a news photographer before attending what is now the University of Gloucestershire to study Advertising and Editorial Photography. After a couple of years working in London, Sydney and Boston I returned to the North East and set up SVW Photography Ltd.
SVW Photography Ltd now provides photography to a wide range of leading clients in the public, voluntary and private sector.
I am able to draw on three decades of experience photographing in a wide range of physically and emotionally challenging environments. Some of my clients are involved in work with vulnerable individuals that often require a highly sensitive approach. My ability to work in emotionally fragile environments in a delicate and unobtrusive way is greatly valued by them, as well as by those being photographed.
